![]() I plugged my iPhone in straight through the amp via RCA-3.5mm and it sounded great. ![]() If I find anything out, I'll let you know. I was a bit deflated after all the fishing of wires, crimping, etc. All that work! Ahhh!Īs far as the Nokia sub goes, from what I have been told, running wires from the amp to that guy directly is the way to go about it. Got everything ready to turn on and sounded like a terrible ground issue. I ran everything, wires for the center console, USB for the glove box, etc. It could be perfectly fine under the rear floor but I'll let the more knowledgeable chime in on that. ![]() I was also thinking about heat as well for the amp. I installed my PCN under the rear cover and put the amp in the factory location so I could have access to it. If I hadn't had the PCN already, I probably would have just left my OEM DSP amp in place. I don't need something to wake the neighbors nor am I attempting to win an audio contest. I had already had the GAS PCN for a month or two and really contemplated carrying on with replacing the DSP amp. I plugged everything while I had the DSP amp in still and I was really surprised. I put the N6 and GAS PCN as well as the SoundStream 640D in this past week. I was going to say take it to Method Sounds in LA, but I see SLO county is far away ! perhaps take it to Jeff in Fresno ? Also in Fresno is Dave Fishman Rivera who I met at SEMA a few years ago, you might see what he does and be blown away along with your wallet ! but his skills are perhaps amongst the best in the world ! If you aren't so confident with DIY, then perhaps look for a local reputable car audio installer. There's no how to's really as the GAS PCN remains very very niche and not many owners have installed them in sedans let alone tourings. Later if you put the sub on the left side where I did, then you can move the PCN to the spare wheel cover location perhaps. You'll need to unscrew the strap mounting points and that little cover lifts off. I installed my amplifiers here in my Touring When you lift the boot floor, you have the spare wheel cover with the slanted bit, at it's deepest area, that might be a location too. Next location would be the right side cubby, but you'll need to take into account the available space, access to lamp cluster etc. The good news is the HDHU.14+ is designed to handle the elements.I'd say perhaps look to install the GAS PCN in the left side cubby area as first choice as I think your current oem speaker wires will be in that location too. Motorcycles certainly experiences lots of weather environments. The head units onboard 4-channel amplifier, 10-band equalizer and 4-volt RCA outputs for front/rear speakers and subwoofer allow you to dial in your desired sound output like never before.
